Today I went out to visit Mom and Pops and also got to see Jason, Kyla, Ryder and Cruz.  It was a really nice evening and Mom made a fantastic supper including a veggie burger for me :)

Ryder doing some serious golfing with his new clubs that his Nanie and Poppy bought him in Florida :)

My nephew Ryder and my brother Jason - having some father-son time together
Mom's fall mums, they sure are beautiful!

Photo of the Day - Day 265

My favourite coffee shop Timothy's had some really cute chalkboard signs out front today:

Love their flavour of the day coffee: cinnamon pastry, sugarbush maple, german chocolate cake, noisette, irish cream, etc  but Toasted coconut is my absolute favourite :)

Tonight I am catching up on my reading and enjoying some delicious flavoured water.  I discovered this water in the summer and I absolutely love it.  It is sparkling flavoured water with no aspartame and no calories...just water!  I drink lots of plain water but sometimes it is nice to mix it up a bit.  The PC water comes in 5 different kinds but peach and tangerine-lime are my favourite.  I also tried the Perrier grapefruit but don't like it near as much as the PC free & clear brand.  It is only 99 cents a litre at Superstore and it is 100 times better than pop. So good!

Just realized that as of tomorrow (day 265) I will have only 100 days left of this 365 challenge...time sure goes fast!

Photo of the Day - Day 263

Today while walking Deuce I decided to take a picture of the homemade Bluefield School sign. I am not sure the history of this sign or what class this sign was made but it is really neat. I first noticed the sign in the spring but thought tonight since I didn't have a photo I would take a picture of it.  Double click to see the full details.

Photo of the Day - Day 262

Today was a travel day back to PEI from Campbellton...another gorgeous "summer" day .
Here are a few pics from the ride home:

The leaves are starting to turn....great to see all the little evergreens that were planted in amongst the trees that have passed on....#Renewal
                                A fork in the road...

A lone sailboat in the distance - spotted while travelling over the Confederation Bridge

Tonight (back on PEI) waiting for the boys to finish their game so we could start our game...the sky was so colourful!

Photo of the Day - Day 261

Today was Patrick and Susan's wedding - it was a gorgeous, hot day...about 28 degrees in Campbellton, NB.  The wedding was beautiful, here are some pics from the day:

Due to the size of the crowd this was the best pic I took at the wedding...at least they were both smiling...was difficult to get a head on shot.
                              Susan - what a cutie!!
In between the wedding and reception, Amanda, Ronnie, and I took a little trip to Quebec
Fastest trip to a province I ever took...2 minutes to get there and we stayed about half an hour
Found this beautiful church - the priest said this church (St. Anne) was the oldest in the diocese
The catholic church was on a reserve so there were a lot of aboriginal decorations
Walk a mile in his mocassins...
This was the front of the church - check out the bilingual stop sign
Back in New Brunswick, this was the Restigouche Salmon tourist attraction

A view on the deck at the reception - love the mirror image
Gorgeous - this bridge turned 50 years old this year (Pont J.C. Van Horne
This was my favourite pic from the dance - Susan and her Dad were dancing and these two cuties ran across the room and hugged each other, it lasted about 1 second and then they bot fell to the floor...sweet little girls.

Photo of the Day - Day 260

Today the NJC Seminar wrapped up at noon.  Main Street in Moncton was closed to promote Touchdown Atlantic.  We got to see lots of players and coaches getting their Tim Horton's fix that morning.

Tim's was really into it all, they even had Calgary and Hamilton donuts :)

This little cutie was on the truck tire having a rest

Lots of mountains and water views - this little town is so beautiful
This was one giant hill (Sugarloaf)...I can only imagine how fun it would be to ski on in the winter

Susan's dog Springer was trying on her dress for the wedding :)

Photo of the Day - Day 259

Today I took a little road trip to Moncton to participate with @annawas21 and @acadian_jl on the "Social Media in the Federal Government: Pushing on our Work Boundaries" panel, as part of the 2011 National Joint Council Seminar.

The session went great and it was so wonderful to see Anna and Jer - they both flew in from Ottawa to participate in the panel. Their energy and enthusiasm is so contagious, love those two!

Here are a few pics from the day:

Anna, Jer and I just a few minutes before our panel

On the stage....after we got our mics on :)

After our presentation we went out for a drink to celebrate - Anna tried blueberry beer!!

Anna and I decided to take in one of Moncton's tourist attractions "the Tidal Boar"
I think I must have blinked because I missed it....(or else it was very minimal)
This little guy was trying to swim away from the current
Pretty view

Doctors without Borders had an exhibit set up

Everyone is gearing up for Touchdown Atlantic - even the hotel employees had their jerseys on

Photo of the Day - Day 257

Today I really didn't have a photo of the day at all....some days are super easy other days are extremely difficult....then I got thinking about day 17 where I said I wanted to have my 3rd gem stone bowl filled before the end of 2011. This is the post....

Anyways while I was in Victoria I bought some gemstones (AKA. rocks) from Jennifer Dany Aube (she is so talented...I bought two sets of her Chakra cards last year) and I now have enough to fill my third bowl.

Here is a photo of all my new little rocks: So beautiful!

Anyways that is all I have for my photo of the day today....only 108 days left in my 365 challenge...where did the time go?!

Photo of the Day - Day 256

Today after work I was walking to my car and saw something very unique... a bin outside (on the ground) of Tech Guru with free computer parts...now that is not something you see everyday.  I know what is currently in the basket is ancient keyboards but still...you don't get very much for free anymore...it was a miscellaneous basket of computer treasures (I did not look through the basket but I am thinking there must be some useful stuff under those keyboards).

Thought I would take a pic for my photo of the day:

If you look closely at the little sign it says "Please do not steal the basket" :)

Free stuff/computer antiques - compliments of the Tech Guru:

Photo of the Day - Day 255

My  photo of the day is my after-soccer smoothie (probably too many calories for an evening but I didn't have enough protein today so I am trying to compensate).

Recipe:
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1 tbsp of bee pollen
1/2 of a banana (preferably frozen but all I had was this spotty one)
1 tbsp of chia seeds
1 kiwi (don't forget to peel it)
1 tbsp of natural peanut butter
1 tbsp of glutamine
top off with almond milk

If you like thicker smoothies add a few ice cubes (if you didn't add the frozen banana)
If you like really sweet smoothies add a single serving of Stevia (mini pack)
Mix in the magic bullet, Enjoy!

Doesn't look that pretty but it tastes awesome!

Photo of the Day - Day 254

Today I babysat my baby nephew Cruz for the first time, he is a year old and such a sweet darling boy. He is so cuddly and every time he sees a pillow or blanket he cuddles up to it. Love him so much!
Here are a few pics of him:

Getting some fresh air on this warm day!
Cuddling up, "getting cozy: as him Mom calls it :)

                                           Sweet boy!
Oh I found a pillow on the floor to cuddle with!

                  Even cuddling the couch cushion!
                                               Love his toes, so cute!!

I was supposed to go to Angie's wedding dance tonight but sadly it didn't work out and I wasn't able to make it...Congratulations Mrs. Manning, can't wait to see your pics! :)
