Photo of the Day - Day 179

Today was the Royal visit; the Duke and the Duchess arrived in Charlottetown last night and had a full agenda with tours, shows, mingling with crowds, dragon boat racing, search and rescue helicopter emergency landing exercise, beach clam bake, etc.. they had a very full day and off to Yellowknife NWT tonight!

A few of my co-workers and I took an hour vacation and went to see Will and Kate at the Province House. It was really great to see them and we were so happy that they chose PEI as one of their stops during their first visit to Canada as a married couple.

Here are a few pics I took this morning:

Outside Province House - the birthplace of confederation

“Your Royal Highness, it’s very important to remember that Kates are always right,” Premier Ghiz said during the conclusion of his speech (He is married to Dr. Kate Ellis Ghiz - pictured next to Duchess Kate)

Lots of people with signs and some even camped over night to catch a glimpse of the Royal Couple
