Today our neighbors came over with there dogs for a visit: Zoe is the 6 pounder and Boomer is the Hooch look-a-like (From the movie "Turner and Hooch")

Check out these mini horses that live up the road from me - so adorable!  These type of horses are often used as seeing eye ponies.

Superstore has been going through renovations for what seems like months. It is my favourite grocery store but every time I went I was lost because they kept moving things out of their normal spots. They are finally finished (I think) and have balloons up all over the store, it looks awesome!

This was an adorable sight I seen today - this dog's parents were eating on Hunter's restaurant deck and they weren't able to take the pup so he was right next to them enjoying the grass and flowers, they took turns going over to see him. What a little cutie - I wanted to take him home for Deuce!!

My co-worker Nathalie took this photo with my camera outside our window today - she has been keeping an eye out for "Photo of the day" worthy pics for me :)  One thing that we saw outside the window last week were two people smoking right next to 5 propane tanks = dangerous! One even had his arm resting on the tank.  But I didn't end up using that photo as I thought it might be too controversial for my photo blog.  But it was a great photo - thanks Nathalie :)

Tonight Kattie Johnson and her Manager Anne were in town to do a presentation. Catherine, Steven and I met them at Simm's for a fun evening. I was supposed to leave at 6pm to go home for Deuce but luckily Jerry got home early and I was able to stay for the evening. What a fabulous time and so wonderful to see Kattie after not seeing her in a few years. What an amazing woman!

Photo of the Day - Day 200

Wow, I can hardly believe I made it to DAY 200!!!!

This challenge has been much harder than I thought it would be when I started, but so much more enjoyable than I thought it would be too. :)

This little photo blog has made me:
-look at my day differently by seeing things I would not normally have seen before - not allowing the little things pass me by like they may have before I started this blog
-use my camera everyday and having it with me all the time :)
-capture a piece of my life through this photo blog and some very important events, occasions etc..something I will be able to look back on when this little 365 challenge is complete (165 more days to go)
-realize how fast time flies by (200 days went by in a flash) and how important it is to take a moment to reflect each day and really take it all in.

So to celebrate my 200th day, "my photo of the day" is of a tiny celebratory cake! So happy I made it this far in this 365 challenge :)

Tonight was a gorgeous hot sunny evening.  Perfect weather for our soccer game, we played until the lights came on, 1/2 hour longer than usual.  Since I haven't posted any soccer photos yet on my "photo of the day" I thought I would take a few of the turf field.

Photo of the Day - Day 198

Last night Jennifer gave me the recipe for delicious protein bars, so today I tried to make them. They turned out great, way better than any chocolate bar!

   The ingredients:  1 1/8 cups of chocolate protein powder,  1 cup of honey (if you run out like I did add some natural maple syrup), 1 cup of natural peanut butter, 1 1/2 cups of rolled oats.  (The recipe called for double but I split it up to make sure I liked it first).  Double would be a giant batch! But they are delicious :)

                                   Mix together

                      Spread in a pan

Put in the freezer until they are hard.....then cut into pieces

Then wrap individually and store in the freezer in a large freezer bag.  Enjoy!

Tonight was Angie's Arbonne party!  She drew this adorable map so I wouldn't get lost going from my house to her house :)

She even put the cows and 2 donkeys as a landmark - so cute! :)

This is what I have for breakfast every morning, I love it!

Oatmeal, wheat germ, walnuts, chia seeds, bee pollen, udo oil, almond milk, protein powder, honey and berries! Yum!

Tonight was the Chamber of Commerce mixer at Redshores the Racino.  It was a really great time with lots of networking and meeting new people, a bit of horse racing and amazing award winning food!

Another wonderful highlight of my day was seeing Jennifer Wessner, former Federal Youth Network Chair from Regina. She was in town for meetings so Gail, Jeff, Steven and I got to see her for a few minutes. We took a FYN reunion photo. :)

Tonight it was a downpour, I don't remember it raining this hard in a while and lots of thunder and lightning....so I took a few pics...and the evening ended in a beautiful rainbow! :)

 So dark out...I just got back in time from taking Deuce for a walk
