Woke up this morning to a beautiful sunny winter day! Shovelled out the walk-way and around my car and the tractor came to plough out the driveway. I got stuck in the driveway and when I got un-stuck I started driving to work. The roads were full of snow drifts and a few white-outs. About 1/2 way into work I started to think that there were not too many people on the road. So I pulled over and called the storm line...delayed until 10:30. Well I had already went through the bad roads so I figured there was no sense turning back so I went to work. I was able to get a lot of stuff done before my co-workers arrived at 11am....so I was glad I didn't know it was delayed in the first place. I did learn my lesson, even when it is a beautiful sunny day, don't be fooled...always call the storm line before venturing outside!

The roads didn't seem that bad - just a typical winter day in PEI (This picture doesn't do it justice - the roads were awful) |
This is the entry way of the Lieutenant Govenor's house - every night the crows roost at Victoria Park...just as I got a few pics my camera batteries ran out. There are thousands of crows....everywhere...all of the trees the roof of the house....I will have to go back again sometime to get some better pics...quite fascinating to see all those crows just resting peacefully.
Here is a close up of a few of the trees by the LG house - but there were
many, many more....everywhere!
Resting peacefully?? or.... scoping out their prey?
ReplyDeleteLOL oh no, this would be your absolute nightmare!! I am a little tentative of crows lately too after that crazy one that jumped on our heads on Fitzroy Street
