Today we tried Stand Up Paddling (SUP), I never tried it before but it looked really fun. You are on a surf board and have a paddle. We crossed from English Bay to Kitsilano beach which was a bit scary as the water was so deep. Luckily I only fell a couple of times and got over my fear pretty quickly. It was so much fun and with all the boats and the current the waves really made it a challenge to balance on the board.
Spent the afternoon at the beach and swam in the ocean, it was cold but invigorating. Loved it!
Didn't get any pics of us doing SUP but added a few of ones I took later that afternoon from the shore in case you never heard of it before.
Then we went to Raw Canvas bar to paint our masterpieces!! Can't wait til Raw Canvas is in Toronto...and hopefully someday in PEI :)

My painting - there is so much texture and colour in this painting - pics don't do it justice (but yes I am aware it looks like something a 4 year old painted lol). Painting this was more relaxing then a massage :) (Double click to see it close up)
Imagine to meet another Islander there, Mark grew up in my neighbourhood when I was a kid, imagine my surprise to see he worked at Raw Canvas. I work with his sister so I took a pic of us to give her :)
Such a great atmosphere, it was really busy but very spacious
