Happy Halloween!! I was all excited about lots of kids coming to the door tonight but sadly not so many....the cold must have kept them away...they missed out on some good treats.
Here are a few kids from my neigbourhood:
Deuce was thinking of ways to steal their candy!
Little Darth Vader
I felt bad, I thought they were cupcakes (I know... I love cupcakes) but they were actually mushrooms.
Gosh the kids are getting bigger and bigger each year, especially when they ask for beer instead of candy ;)
Guest photo from my Mom: My baby nephew Cruz - the little monster, such a cutie. Wish I could have seen him tonight.

Photo of the Day - Day 297
Today was a very windy and rainy day and I couldn't warm up... I went to hockey at noon and then had soccer in the evening. It was absolutely miserable outside but when I entered the turf field it was so green and almost sunny - my mood was instantly lifted. Had to snap a photo before entering.
Sadly near the end of the game Laura and I collided and I busted up my ankle, I am sure I will be as good as new by the weekend. At least I better be, hobbling around is no fun... :(

So many cool costumes - great time at the Globe
The Globe even had special guests "LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem" ;)
Extra: Guest photo - Kyla's aunt made these cool costumes. Amazing!! Fozzie bear and kermit were outside smoking so they are missing from photo.

Tonight I decided to stop into my little favourite thai spot to pick up takeout. I haven't been there in a few months but they always remember me as I have really tried to get to know them when I go there. Back when I worked in IT our team would go there every Wednesday for takeout. They are amazing!
Anyways, Sai the owner is so wonderful, her "auntie" and "uncle" (sadly I don't know their names as that is how she refers to them) worked there with her and last year her uncle went back to Thailand as he was homesick. I really liked him and he always remembered I liked a fork instead of chopsticks for my order. Although he couldn't speak English and I couldn't speak Thai I always made the extra effort to try to talk to him and interact with him.
His last day last year before he moved back to Thailand I made him a thai farewell card using google translator and brought him his favourite food: MacDonalds :)
Anyways recently he moved back to PEI and when I arrived tonight he had a little gift for me from Thailand. It really touched my heart. Although we only communicated and understood a few words since we have known each other due to our language barriers, we still managed to form a great friendship this past couple of years.
His gesture really made my day - hence a perfect photo of the day!! :)

Today I ran into my friend Jeremy, he really goes all out for Halloween :) I didn't have my camera with me (1st time ever) so he sent me pics. These are his guest blog photos :)
And this is my photo of the day - since I must take at least one photo of the day for the challenge...
Then I came across this poor pumpkin tonight that got demolished, not sure why people think it is fun to do this to pumpkins....

Today GTEC finished at noon, went for coffee, then to a #goc3 meeting, lunch with @tabtalks and then went to pick up my friend at her work. I decided to stop by the Currency museum on the way there since I had a few minutes before I had to meet her. It was really neat!
Keynote address from Liseanne Forand, President Shared Services Canada
Love this sweet statue on Sparks Street
The entryway to the Currency museum is all plants and fountains, very Green!
Lots of Coins
This was a playing card that someone wrote good for four loaves of bread - back before $$ existed
